The White Farm is graced by its spacious lawns treed with century maples and perennial borders.
I am a collector of plants. I find them intresting for their display of flower and infinite shapes of foliage and shades of green. The gardens begin to bloom in early spring with large clusters of Hellebrores and the lawn is coverd with the blue of Siberian Squills and Chionodoxa. These planted over one hundred years by Mrs. White are the "starters" to a full year of blossom. I have been planting Daffodils for twenty years and still find the new ones each fall to add to the thousands that signal the "opening of spring". Cherry and Apple blossoms welcome late April and May, followed by drifts of peonies.
Please look for many varieties of hosta, both large and small and several forms of Sanguisorba and Bergenia. There is also a small garden of herbs and edible flowers that we use daily for Bed and Breakfast This year a large garden of summer flowers just for cutting is being planted. It will have Sunflowers, Dahlias every color of Zinna.
It is our hope that you will enjoy the White Farm Homestead.
